Workshops

This 30- to 45-minute presenation consists of the artist describing how he got started in origami, some of the principles of the art form he practices, display of various models and creations as well as time for questions & answers.  Models and Kits are made available for purchase, but there is no pressure for the participants to purchase anything (there are usually a few people that want to try it by purchasing a kit or are interested in buying a model as a gift for themself, a loved one or an acquaintance).

Price for an Origami Talk / Discussion is $25.

This 45- to 75-minute presenation/demonstration consists of everything in the Origami Talk / Discussion plus the participants have a small "hands on" activity - construction of a module or two that blends into the discussion so they can better understand the idiosyncracies of the art form.  Models and Kits are made available for purchase, but there is no pressure for the participants to purchase anything (there are usually a few people that want to try it by purchasing a kit or are interested in buying a model as a gift for themself, a loved one or an acquaintance).

Price for an Origami  Mini-Workshop is $50 - $75.

This 60- to 90-minute presentation consists of of everything in the Origami Talk / Discussion, plus each participant receives a detailed Origami Kit with paper, instructions & guidance on how to create the chosen kit.  Participants will complete a basic origami figure (crane, cube, box, etc.).  Additional Models and Kits are made available for purchase, but there is no pressure for the participants to purchase anything (there are usually a few people that want to purchase an additional kit or are interested in buying a model as a gift for themself, a loved one or an acquaintance).

Price for an Origami Workshop - Beginner is $8 per person for groups of 6-20 people, $12 per person for groups of 2-5 people or $20 for an individual lesson.

This 60- to 90-minute presentation consists of of everything in the Origami Talk / Discussion, plus each participant receives a detailed Origami Kit with paper, instructions & guidance on how to create the chosen kit.  Intermediate Workshop participants will begin more advanced models (vase, 30-piece ornaments, etc.) and receive sufficient instruction to complete the model after the session if not completed during the allotted time for the workshop.  Additional Models and Kits are made available for purchase, but there is no pressure for the participants to purchase anything (there are usually a few people that want to purchase an additional kit or are interested in buying a model as a gift for themself, a loved one or an acquaintance).

Price for an Origami Workshop - Intermediate is $12 per person for groups of 6 to 20 persons, $20 per person for groups of 2 to 5 persons and $25 for individual lessons.

This 75- to 90-minute presentation consists of everything in the Origami Talk / Discussion, plus participants in this workshop also receive materials and instruction on how to make modules, as well as assembly techniques, for an Origami Quilt similar to those found on the artist's website:  http://Folding4U.com.  Additional Models and Kits are made available for purchase, but there is no pressure for the participants to purchase anything (there are usually a few people that want to purchase an additional kit or are interested in buying a model as a gift for themself, a loved one or an acquaintance).

Price for an Origami Workshop - Quilts is based on the instruction plus the amount  of  materials that are needed:

Instruction:  $20 per person

Materials:

Origami Paper for a Small/Medium/Large Quilt:  $10 / $20 / $25

Shadowbox for quilt display:  $35 per frame

Museum-quality UV-protectant plexiglass for Medium/Large Quilts:  $15 per sheet/frame
