Email Newsletter #4
Early February 2012

The 30 Stars is 30 Days promotion for February is well underway with the first 9 stars created and available. In addition, 11 new people have signed up for this newletter either through the website or as a result of the just-completed Avant-Garde show - welcome to all the new readers! Details of this program can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/Folding4U-Works
Quilts 2012 - the five origami quilts that I've designed are currently on display at the Quilts 2012 Show at the Lake Farmpark in Kirtland until March 21st. This show presents an amazing array of over 200 quilts from all over the country and is a must-see event for quilters, crafters and artists alike. Take the time to make the trip and see this show - I guarantee you'll come away inspired!
I have 2 remaining classes being conducted at the Concord Township Community Center - 7671 Auburn Road - February 28 and March 13. Details for the classes can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/Folding4U-Classes
Upcoming Events
Leroy Elementary 5th Grade - I'll be teaching a beginning modular origami design to the entire 5th grade class at Leroy Elementary School on Friday, February 24th. This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage young people to not only be interested in origami, but to engage and pursue math/science activities in their lives - a critical need for the future of the country and the world.
Spring Boutique - I have applied to the St. Gabriel's Spring Boutique on March 10th - I'll post more info on my blog as it becomes available.
As always, feel free to share this update with friends and family who might be interested in origami - and don't forget the drawing for a FREE 5-T Star for eveyone who signs up for this newsletter this month.
Enjoy the Origami!
