I've been tangling now for about 2 weeks and completed my first Zentangle on an official 3 1/2" square tile.  I've also completed 6 entries for the Rochester Contemporary Art Center's 6x6 2013 fundraiser.  More info on my Zentangle adventures here. [...]

Bubbling with excitement at being selected to be a Featured Artist at the next RAW Artists event entitled, "Expressions."  Scheduled for the end of May in Lakewood, Ohio, this promises to be an eclectic event with film, music, make-up, visual art - you name it, it might be there showcased for the evening.  RAW Artists - Cleveland   I'll post more extensively when details are finalized - but put it on your calendars now - this is a biggie with a special offer I will be extending only to my peeps, er... the wonderful clients and blog/newsletter/Facebook/Twitter readers and followers who get a [...]

After a brief vacation - during which I did NO origami and NO portraits - but did create some Zentangles for the first time(!) and investigate store options around my eventual retirement locale - I'm ready to gear up for what promises to be an interesting April.  Taking care of my wife after next week's back surgery will be a full-time job for a bit, but should also allow for some Creative creative time - looking forward to both opportunities! Here is my latest quilt with the smallest modules I've attempted so far - 1" patches made from four 2" square sheets made into 4 interlocking modules. Each colored "Super Patch" is made from nine 1" patches using 3 different designs for assembly. Then the 18 Super Patches were assembled and mounted in a 9" x 20" shadowbox with museum-quality UV-resistant plexiglass so the quilt will never fade.  More details here  Large Origami Quilt [...]
